A "Concert" was performed by the "Massed Babies of the Royal Australian Navy Band' in the HMAS Cerberus Chapel recently.
No less than nine children of musicians serving at Cerberus were christened by Father McDonald and Chaplain Wheeldon.
It is believed to be a record number of christenings at the one time in the RAN from one branch. It was also the first time that the bell of the original HMAS Australia (dated 1924) has been used in front of the altar instead of the normal place in the Baptistry. It has been reliably reputed that all sopranos, altos, tenors and basses were perfectly in time for the entire performance, with very few exceptions.
